Hiunchuli 6441m lies is a trekking peak in the himalays of central Nepal, the Annapurna range like other two peaks Tharpu Chuli and Singu Chuli. The mountain is an extension of Annapurna South. This is considered as a sacred mountain of Gurung ethnic community. Due to route finding difficulties and dangers from rock fall, the peak is one of the difficult peak climbings in Nepal. It can be climbed from southeast face and northwest face as well. This is not so difficult technically but there is still danger of falling rocks . An American Peace Crops Expedition team first ascended the peak in October 1971 via southeast face.

Southeast Face Route:

The route to base camp starts from Hinko Cave on the Annapurna sanctuary trail. After establishing the first camp somewhere above the valley floor a further 2 camps are necessary to make it to the top. Although not technically extreme this route is exposed to rock fall dangers and is a complicated route-finding experience.

Northwest Face Route:

The ascent by the North-West Face has been attempted only by a very few climbers and not always successfully. The exact route is not well known. The approach is from the Annapurna Base Camp in the Sanctuary and a further 2 camps may be necessary to complete this not so well known ascent.
